Description
The Doxa Army, reference 785.10.031.20, is engineered with a robust 316L stainless steel case, measuring 42.50 millimeters in diameter and 44.50 millimeters lug-to-lug, with a profile height of 11.95 millimeters. This construction incorporates a screw-down crown and a solid stainless steel screw-down case back, contributing to its significant water resistance rating of 30 atmospheres, which is equivalent to 300 meters or 984 feet. Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal, known for its high scratch resistance. The unidirectional rotating bezel is fabricated from stainless steel and features a black ceramic inlay, providing a durable and legible interface for dive timing. All dive-pertinent indications on the watch are treated with a Super-LumiNova luminescent coating, ensuring optimal visibility in low-light underwater environments. The lug width is specified at 20.00 millimeters, accommodating various strap options.
Powering the DOXA Army is a Swiss mechanical automatic, self-winding movement, decorated by DOXA. This caliber operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4.0 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 38 hours. The movement facilitates the display of hours, minutes, seconds, and a date function. The watch is presented with a sand-beige dial, maintaining a connection to its historical military aesthetic. Buyers have the option of a stainless steel "beads of rice" bracelet, which includes a folding clasp equipped with a ratcheting wetsuit extension and features the exclusive "DOXA fish" symbol. Alternatively, an FKM rubber strap is available, also with a folding clasp and ratcheting dive suit extension. An additional NATO camouflage strap is supplied with the watch, packaged in a special case that echoes the original camouflage pattern of Swiss Army field uniforms from the period of the original model's release.
