The lug width for strap attachment is 20mm, while the watch weighs 73 grams without the strap. The case incorporates a screw-fastened case back and a screwable crown, contributing to its water resistance rating of 20 bar, meeting the DIN 8310 standard. The design also assures resistance to low-pressure environments. Both the front crystal and the transparent case back are crafted from sapphire crystal. The front crystal benefits from anti-reflective treatment on both sides to maximize legibility in various light conditions, while the display back possesses an interior anti-reflective coating. These allow an unfettered view of the movement within.

Powering the 104 St Sa A is the SW 220-1 self-winding mechanical movement. This caliber features 26 bearing jewels. The balance wheel of the movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 Hz). The movement provides standard timekeeping functions which include, hours, minutes, and a seconds hand that has a stop function for precise time setting.
