DescriptionThe Fortis Novonaut N-42 Cobalt Blue, reference F2040012, is constructed around a 42mm case crafted from recycled stainless steel, exhibiting a height of 15mm and a lug-to-lug measurement of 51mm. The watch head itself has a weight of 115 grams. Water resistance is rated to 200 meters (600 feet, 20 atmospheres), ensured by a screw-down crown incorporating a triple gasket system and performance FKM gaskets. Protection for the dial is afforded by a sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating on both the interior and exterior surfaces. Visibility in low-light conditions is enhanced via Superluminova®X1 with a blue glow, applied to the metallic hour and minute hands. The sweep second hand is finished in Berlac Fluor Orange and also features a Superluminova®X1 "Bull's Eye" element, while the counter hands are similarly presented in Berlac Fluor Orange. The dial features a sunburst blue finish and is completed with applied Lumicast®X1 numerals.

Encircling the dial is a bidirectional "Sirius" bezel made from ceramic, which also includes Superluminova®X1. The case back is constructed from smoked sapphire crystal, offering a view of the movement and featuring a rocket design. The watch is powered by the space-tested automatic manufacture caliber Werk 17, a column-wheel chronograph movement incorporating a day-date complication. This chronometer-regulated movement provides a power reserve of 60 hours. The attached block bracelet is constructed from recycled stainless steel and includes a stainless steel slide clasp, providing an integrated micro-adjustment system for refined fitting. The bracelet is connected to the case using a screw pin system.
