Protecting the dial is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, notable for its domed profile reminiscent of the original 1967 model's plexiglass, and enhanced with an anti-reflective coating for optimal visibility. A defining characteristic is the patented unidirectional rotating bezel, calibrated in meters, which incorporates a dual scale indicating dive time in minutes and depth, crucial for calculating no-decompression stop limits.
