Water ingress protection is engineered to a rating of 30 atmospheres, equivalent to a hydrostatic pressure found at 300 meters or 984 feet depth. This integrity is further ensured by the incorporation of a screw-down crown mechanism and a solid stainless steel screw-down case back. Protecting the dial is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, fabricated with a domed profile reminiscent of the original 1967 model's plexiglass, and treated with an anti-reflective coating to minimize glare and enhance legibility under various lighting conditions, particularly underwater.
