Quick TakeTalk about a ghost in the machine! The SUB 300 Carbon Whitepearl isn't just white; it's luminous, practically glowing with that full Super-LumiNova dial treatment. Against the dark, marbled texture of the forged carbon case, it creates this incredible high-contrast look that’s both technically advanced and starkly beautiful. It feels like something plucked from a futuristic dive mission. You get the classic, reliable SUB 300 silhouette, but rendered in space-age materials. That carbon case isn't just for show; it makes this substantial 42.5mm diver feel surprisingly light on the wrist. Inside, the COSC-certified automatic movement is all business, a reliable engine ticking away beneath that tough titanium inner chamber and case back. It’s a serious tool watch, rated to 300 meters, complete with the essential unidirectional bezel (also in carbon!) and a super practical rubber strap with that essential dive extension. Yet, with the Whitepearl dial, it has an almost ethereal, high-tech vibe that pushes the iconic DOXA design somewhere entirely new and exciting.
DescriptionConstructed from forged carbon, the primary housing structure of the timepiece provides a lightweight yet robust enclosure. The case dimensions are specified as 42.50 mm in width and 45.00 mm lug-to-lug, with a total height measurement of 13.40 mm. Protection for the internal mechanism is enhanced by a pressure-resistant chamber fabricated from titanium, which also constitutes the material for the screw-down case back. Water ingress resistance is rated at 30 ATM, corresponding to a depth capability of 300 meters or approximately 984 feet, secured further by a screw-down crown mechanism. The watch face is protected by a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal incorporating an anti-reflective treatment to maximize legibility under various lighting conditions. Complementing the case is a unidirectional rotating bezel, also crafted from carbon, featuring dive time markings calibrated in meters.
Powering the timekeeping functions is a Swiss mechanical movement characterized by its automatic, self-winding capability. This movement has achieved COSC Certified Chronometer status, signifying adherence to stringent precision and reliability standards. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4.0 Hz) and provides a power reserve of approximately 38 hours when fully wound. The movement features decoration applied by DOXA. Time is indicated via central hour, minute, and second hands, with a date aperture positioned at the 3 o'clock location on the dial. The dial itself presents a distinctive feature, being fully coated with a white Super-LumiNova luminescent compound, ensuring optimal visibility of all dive-related indices and hands in low-light or underwater environments. The timepiece is affixed to the wrist via an FKM rubber strap with a lug width of 20.00 mm, secured by a black PVD-coated folding clasp that includes a ratcheting wetsuit extension for adjustability over diving gear.
