Quick TakeForget your typical hefty diver; the SUB 300 Carbon Sharkhunter is a different breed entirely. It’s like strapping a piece of aerospace tech to your wrist that just happens to laugh off pressure at 300 meters. The forged carbon case isn't just for show – it gives the watch an incredibly light presence, yet you feel the underlying toughness thanks to that titanium core and screw-down security. It's got the soul of the original SUB 300, you see it in the cushion case and that gloriously domed sapphire crystal, but reimagined in a material that feels utterly modern, almost stealthy. The iconic dial, COSC-certified ticker inside, and that bright lume make it a legit tool. But slipping it on that comfy FKM rubber, you realize it’s more than just specs. It’s a conversation starter, a blend of pure function and futuristic style that works just as well exploring coral reefs as it does navigating the concrete jungle. This Sharkhunter wears its carbon weave like tactical gear, ready for anything.
Description
Engineered for demanding underwater environments, the SUB 300 Carbon Sharkhunter utilizes a forged carbon main case structure measuring 42.50 mm by 45.00 mm with a total height of 13.40 mm. Integral to its pressure resilience is a titanium inner chamber housing the movement, complemented by a screw-down titanium case back and a screw-down crown mechanism. These elements collectively ensure water resistance rated to 30 atmospheres, equivalent to 300 meters or approximately 984 feet, suitable for professional diving applications. Protecting the dial is a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal incorporating an anti-reflective treatment to maximize legibility under various lighting conditions; the domed shape pays homage to historical Doxa dive watch designs which used curved plexiglass. Surrounding the crystal is a unidirectional rotating bezel, also constructed from forged carbon, featuring dive time markings calibrated in meters. Visibility in low-light conditions is enhanced through the application of Super-LumiNova luminescent material to all dive-pertinent indications on the dial and bezel.
At the heart of this timepiece resides a Swiss-made mechanical automatic movement, operating on a self-winding principle. This calibre holds official Chronometer certification from the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC), attesting to its high precision and reliability across various positions and temperatures. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4.0 Hz) and provides a power reserve of approximately 38 hours when fully wound. Functional indications include central hours, minutes, and seconds, alongside a date display positioned within an aperture at the 3 o'clock location on the iconic black dial. DOXA applies specific decorative finishing to the movement components. The watch is paired with an FKM rubber strap exhibiting a lug width of 20.00 mm. This strap is secured by a folding clasp featuring a black PVD coating and an integrated, ratcheting wetsuit extension mechanism for easy adjustment over dive suit sleeves. The clasp is further embellished with the DOXA fish symbol. GenderMen
