This case design incorporates a screw-down crown mechanism and a solid, screw-down stainless steel case back, contributing to its certified water resistance rating of 30 atmospheres, equivalent to 300 meters or 984 feet. Integrated into the case structure is a helium release valve, a crucial component for saturation diving applications, facilitating the safe expulsion of helium molecules during decompression phases. Protection for the dial is afforded by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, selected for its superior hardness and optical clarity under various conditions, including underwater viewing.
