Quick TakeTalk about a blast of cool ocean vibes! The DOXA SUB 300 Aquamarine isn't just playing dress-up; it's the real deal, descended from a legend born in '67. That bright Aquamarine dial isn't just for looks (though it looks fantastic) – it's about standing out, whether you're 100 feet down or just grabbing coffee. Beneath that funky color and vintage-inspired domed sapphire crystal beats a COSC-certified heart, a Swiss automatic engine proving this beauty has brains and brawn. It’s built like a miniature submarine hatch with its hefty 316L steel case, screw-down crown, and that serious 300-meter depth rating. And the bezel? Pure genius – that patented dual scale isn't just retro cool, it’s a functional dive tool. Whether you rock it on the slick 'Beads of Rice' bracelet or the matching rubber strap (both with dive extensions, naturally), it screams adventure with a distinctly stylish, confident edge. It’s a tool watch that refuses to be boring.
DescriptionThe SUB 300 reference 821.10.241.25 is constructed using a robust 316L stainless steel case, dimensioned at 42.50 mm in diameter and 45.00 mm lug-to-lug, with a total height profile of 13.40 mm. Ensuring high integrity against water ingress, the case incorporates a screw-down crown mechanism and a solid stainless steel screw-down case back, achieving a water resistance rating specified at 30 bar, which corresponds to 300 meters or approximately 984 feet. Protection for the dial is provided by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, featuring an anti-reflective coating to enhance legibility. This crystal replicates the domed profile characteristic of the original 1967 model's plexiglass. A defining feature is the patented unidirectional rotating bezel, engineered with a dual scale indicating dive time in minutes and depth in meters, specifically calibrated for calculating no-decompression stop dive limits according to established dive tables. All essential dive-related indicators on the dial and bezel employ a Super-LumiNova® luminescent coating, guaranteeing visibility in low-light underwater environments.
Powering the timepiece is a Swiss mechanical automatic movement, which is self-winding and has undergone rigorous testing to receive COSC Chronometer certification. This certification attests to its high standards of precision, operational robustness, and overall reliability under various conditions. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4.0 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 38 hours when fully wound. Aesthetic finishing includes decoration applied by DOXA. Timekeeping functions encompass central hours, minutes, and seconds hands, alongside a date indication situated within an aperture at the 3 o'clock position on the dial. The watch is offered with two distinct attachment options: the classic stainless steel "Beads of Rice" bracelet, equipped with a folding clasp incorporating a wetsuit extension piece, or a sporty FKM rubber strap color-matched to the Aquamarine dial, which also features a folding clasp with a ratcheting wetsuit extension mechanism. Both options attach via a standard lug width of 20.00 mm.
