Quick TakeTalk about a splash of personality! The SUB 200T Aquamarine isn't just borrowing its big brother's dive cred; it's remixing it for the modern wrist. That 39mm case size is just perfect, hitting the sweet spot between vintage charm and everyday wearability without feeling like you've strapped a dinner plate on. And that Aquamarine dial? Pure sunshine on a cloudy day, especially with the sunray finish catching the light. It screams summer, exploration, and maybe just a hint of rebellion against boring watch designs. Underneath that vibrant face, it’s pure DOXA tool-watch goodness: the legendary no-deco bezel (in feet, mind you), solid 200-meter water resistance secured by that screw-down crown, and a reliable Swiss automatic heart ticking away. Whether you rock it on the super comfy "Beads of Rice" bracelet or the ready-for-anything FKM rubber, it’s a watch that transitions effortlessly from desk diving to actual diving, all while looking ridiculously cool. It’s got history, it’s got style, and that color just makes you smile.
DescriptionEngineered from 316L stainless steel, the SUB 200T case structure measures 39.00 mm in diameter and 41.50 mm lug-to-lug, presenting a reduced profile with a height of 10.70 mm. It incorporates a screw-down crown mechanism contributing to its water resistance rating of 20 ATM, equivalent to 200 meters or 656 feet, ensuring operational integrity during subaquatic activities. The case is sealed with a solid stainless steel screw-down case back. Positioned over the dial is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal treated with an anti-reflective coating to maximize legibility under various lighting conditions. A defining feature is the unidirectional rotating bezel, calibrated in feet, incorporating the US Navy's patented no-decompression limit table, a critical safety component for divers. The bezel's rotation is restricted to a single direction to prevent accidental adjustment that could overestimate remaining dive time. The lug width is specified at 18.00 mm, accommodating specific strap or bracelet dimensions.
Powering the timekeeping functions is a Swiss mechanical automatic movement, characterized by its self-winding capability. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4.0 Hz), providing a smooth sweep of the seconds hand and contributing to its chronometric performance. It offers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours when fully wound. The movement features decoration applied by DOXA, visible should the case back be removed. Time is indicated via central hour, minute, and second hands. A date function is integrated into the mechanism, displayed through an aperture positioned at the 3 o'clock location on the dial. The Aquamarine dial itself features a sunray finish, creating a dynamic luminous sunburst effect that shifts with ambient light. To ensure readability in low-light environments, specific dial elements and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova luminescent material. Attachment options include a stainless steel "Beads of Rice" bracelet or an FKM rubber strap, both secured with a folding clasp featuring a ratcheting wetsuit extension for diver convenience.
